Since social distancing can lead to feelings of social isolation, I’m hoping to staying in touch. Here is what I plan to do:
- Stay logged in to my personal meeting room at Zoom so people with the ID can drop in anytime – ask me for the link. I’d love some company to drop in!
- Host Facebook watch parties, especially for live-streamed press conferences – check my Nancy Smith, Sunnyvale Vice Mayor pages for those or for relaxing things in the groups I run, like Friday dinners or my Nancy Smith, Sunnyvale City Councilmember Group. Please ask to join – watch parties are only allowed in groups or on pages. The link to my page is here.
- Make myself available by people’s preferred method – Facebook messenger, text, email, Skype, Google Hangouts, What’s App and FaceTime (which I don’t use, but which technically I have).
One thing I like about Watch Parties is that we can on audio or video and share thoughts or expressions while we watch something. One thing I like about Zoom is that it allows real-time green screen – so stop by and see what backdrop appeals to me for the day!
